Well, this is an interesting question. And sometimes it helps to look at the assumptions behind the question. Assuming that fear of failure (fear of making mistakes and losing approval) drives a person, the answer could have significant implications.
For me, fear of failure is not as much of a driver as fear of success (fear of accomplishment and being recognized/honored). I had to turn the question inside out to answer it.
Both viewpoints focus on perceptions of personal ability and personal worthiness. Maybe the point is that we need to get the focus off of ourselves and back on Jesus... think about it!
Married to an artist, I'm a SAHM with a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. Life moves pretty fast! I crave slow times when I can be creative. The "ideas" never stop at our house!
